Myths You Should Stop Believing About Probiotics
By ANNE TAYLOR
Probiotics are known to improve gut health, can help you lose weight, and even give you more energy. However, there are several myths surrounding them that people should stop believing; for instance, it is a common belief that you can get all the probiotics you need through food consumption alone.
It's true that probiotic-filled foods such as yogurt or kimchi are good for you, but not everyone can (or want to) eat these foods at high volumes on a daily basis. While it is great to get the nutrients from food, taking a probiotic supplement can help you get the probiotics you need without as much hassle.
Another myth is that all probiotics are created equally, but different supplements contain different strains of bacteria that have their own individual benefits. Also, probiotics are not a cure-all for digestive problems; they cannot take the place of medication or surgery, and you should consult a doctor before taking probiotic supplements.
