Celebrity Trainer Erin Oprea Shares How To Get Toned Legs
By KELSIE CALDERON
Summer is around the corner, so it’s time for sun dresses and swimwear. In an exclusive interview with Health Digest, "Trainer to the Stars" and "pretty muscles" expert Erin Oprea, who has trained celebrities like Jana Kramer and Carrie Underwood, shares tips and tricks on getting in tip-top shape for the summer.
Oprea says that you should exercise your legs twice per week, and “lunges and squats that will get that serious burn and create pretty muscles” for those without leg exercise equipment. She adds that side lunges and sumo squats will help gain muscle in the inner thigh, and to train your calves, try hill walking and calf raises.
Wall-ball squats are perfect for people with bad knees; they involve putting a stabilizer ball against a wall, fitting the lower back to the ball, and performing a squat while rolling the ball down the wall. For those sitting at a desk all day, Oprea recommends taking your legs straight out and making tiny bends in the knee for a good quad burn.
Aside from doing leg exercises, the celebrity fitness trainer advises fitness buffs to provide a time to rest, recover, and eat healthily (AKA "eat clean to get lean"). She recommends following her on social media and her fitness app, Pretty Muscles, saying, “I have it all laid out for you (on her app) to build those toned, sculpted legs.”
