- Lauren has had the honor of interviewing a number of high-end celebrity chefs like Alex Guarnaschelli, Antonia Lofaso, and David Burke but she's also considered an expert on Chick-fil-A, particularly its super-secret secret menu items.
- She swears by sous vide and has never met a meat, fish, or fowl that couldn't be made better with a vacuum-sealed water bath.
- As far as Lauren is concerned, the only thing better than passing the New York State bar exam was celebrating at Bobby Flay's first restaurant, Mesa Grill on lower Fifth Avenue, you know, like, before he was "Bobby Flay."
Experience
Lauren's blog Yoga Chickie (2004-2008) delved as much into cooking as it did into posing, and when she started blogging for Arianna Huffington's eponymous Post, her juiciest stories concerned foodie culture. After cutting her teeth on all the pancake breakfasts and community potlucks as a news reporter for All About Bedford (a Westchester, New York hyperlocal news outlet), Lauren went on to write news and features for Taste of Home, Naturally Savvy, Eat This Not That, and a number of other outlets that are not specifically about food, including Reader's Digest, Just Great Lawyers, and Grown and Flown. She's also been published on MSN, Fox News, Insider, and in the print version of Reader's Digest, where several of her stories have been featured on the cover. Lauren joined Static Media in 2020 as a news and features writer for Mashed and Health Digest and has since expanded to Tasting Table, as well as The List and Glam.
Education
Lauren earned a bachelor's degree in English from Tufts University, Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude; she graduated from NYU Law School and worked as a lawyer in New York City for more than a decade before her nose for news led her to the life of a journalist.
