- An advocate for infertility and endometriosis awareness, Erica Brooke became an expert in these topics after undergoing her four-year journey with infertility, which included multiple cycles of both IUI and IVF, an early pregnancy loss, an ectopic pregnancy, and a late endometriosis diagnosis, along with fertility acupuncture and nutritional coaching before finally becoming pregnant with a baby girl in December 2022. Her journey led her to launch the blog and community resource Hot Mess On A Health Quest, write a memoir about her experience, and become a Federal Advocacy Day volunteer for Resolve: The National Infertility Association.

Erica Brooke has nearly 20 years of experience as a professional writer, journalist, and editor, having developed industry expertise in health and wellness, particularly women's health, mental health, and holistic health; lifestyle, fashion, and design; and higher education and e-Learning. As an educator, she served as an Adjunct Professor at Temple University's Fox School of Business and Manor College in Philadelphia, where she taught writing courses. Erica Brooke is a Feature Editor for Glam, a former Feature Editor for The List, and a Feature Writer and Interviewer for The List and Health Digest. When she's not writing, editing, or interviewing for Static Media brands, she's contributing to other publications and blogs; providing writing services and coaching through her consulting business; and reading inspiring memoirs and advocating for and learning more about her favorite topics in psychology and mental health, including anxiety and depression, inherited and generational trauma, ADHD and autism, and the effects of and connections between physical and mental health.
Education
Erica Brooke honed her writing and editing skills while studying communications and journalism at Arcadia University in Glenside, PA, from which she holds a Bachelor of Arts in communications/print media and a minor in marketing. Additionally, she obtained a Master of Education in secondary education/English from Temple University in Philadelphia, a degree which has served her well when training and providing feedback to writers.
