Healthy Banana Bread Recipe

Ingredients
  • ¼ cup almond or soy milk
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 3 ripe bananas (1 cup mashed)
  • 1/2 cup coconut sugar
  • ½ cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon allspice
  • ½ cup walnuts, chopped
Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.
  2. Line a loaf pan with parchment paper or spray it with cooking spray.
  3. Combine the milk and vinegar and let the mixture sit for 5 minutes.
  4. Mash the bananas until smooth.
  5. Add the sugar, applesauce, vanilla, and milk/vinegar mixture to the bananas.
  6. Combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and allspice.
  7. Mix the banana mixture into the dry ingredients, then stir in the nuts.
  8. Pour the banana bread batter into the prepared pan and bake it for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted into the center of the loaf.
  9. Serve the banana bread warm and enjoy.
