Men Should Eat These Foods For An Orgasm-Friendly Diet

For men, a few different things can get in the way of having a great orgasm. The state of your relationship, your mental health, various stress factors, and even your overall health can hinder a good orgasm. While it's important to pay attention to these, it turns out that you can also eat your way to a good orgasm, at least according to experts. In fact, it's actually one of the natural ways in which men can boost their orgasms

The foods that you should be adding to your diet include things like eggs, turkey, plenty of fruits and vegetables, nuts and seeds, olive oil, avocado, and more. Staying hydrated helps with energy levels and improving blood flow, too. As explained by board-certified family nurse practitioner Ahmaad Johnson (via Men's Health), the foods every man needs to have in his diet for sexual health purposes are the same foods you'd turn to for overall healthy food choices. Let's take a closer look at the particular nutrients you need for better big-Os and what foods can provide them for you.

Men need zinc, calcium, B vitamins, arginine, and more for better orgasms

Zinc is one of the most important minerals when it comes to a man's sex life. It can boost testosterone levels and improve blood flow to your sexual organs, and is also involved in sperm production. Foods like oysters, seafood, red meat, poultry (turkey in particular), nuts, beans, whole grains, cereals, and dairy contain zinc. Additionally, while calcium is great for your bones, it also helps with muscle and nerve function during sexual release. Calcium-rich foods include seeds, sardines, canned salmon, yogurt, leafy greens, beans, and lentils. But including more vitamin D in your diet is important if you are to absorb calcium. Fatty fish and eggs can help in that department.

B-vitamins help by easing stress and boosting energy levels. You can get the B-vitamins you need by consuming eggs, leafy greens, and sardines. Meanwhile, arginine boosts nitric oxide in your system. Per nutritionist Shona Wilkinson (via The Sun), arginine "relaxes and expands your blood vessels, increasing the flow of oxygenated blood to your genitals and thus increasing both sensation and levels of arousal." Good sources of arginine are turkey, pork, chicken, fish, nuts and seeds, legumes, whole grains, and milk.

Other orgasm-friendly nutrients include vitamin C, folate, healthy fats, and allicin. Vitamin C and allicin improve blood flow, folate can boost sperm health, and healthy fats are important for neurological function. For vitamin C, you can turn to citrus fruits; allicin is found in garlic; leafy greens contain folate; and olive oil and avocado can help with healthy fats.

Other, lesser-known foods that could help a man out in the bedroom

With the merging of different cultures and traditions, you may have heard about the many benefits of ginseng tea or ashwagandha that can supposedly help a man with his sexual health.

The ginsenosides in ginseng have been linked with improving sexual function, firmer erections, and improved sexual satisfaction, all of which could contribute toward better orgasms. Ashwagandha, an evergreen shrub native to Asia and Africa, is said to help regulate cortisol levels in your body, thereby reducing stress and enabling you to enjoy sex more. That being said, how ginseng tea helps with sexual function and how ashwagandha really helps your body are areas that are still being studied. You might be better off running these home remedies by a healthcare provider if an improved orgasm is your focus.

Plus, it is always important to remember that diet alone can't do a lot for your orgasms. Men should also prioritize their mental health, relational health, overall physical health, sleep, alcohol consumption, and other lifestyle factors like exercise. Preventing chronic health concerns like high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, and more can go a long way in helping men enjoy better sexual function (and thereby, enhanced climaxes) in the bedroom. Speaking about other things that play a part, have you heard of the squeeze technique and how it can help a man's sex life?
